When we set out to create our initial list of offerings, we intentionally did not include a traditional Old Fashioned - after all, people have strong feelings about this classic cocktail, plus there really isn't too much to add to the bourbon of choice. That being said, Little Bit Country is definitely in the same ballpark, and we hope you enjoy this maple-y rendition.

 

 

Rose Colored Glasses

Spirit: Gin
Flavors: Rose, Lemon, Grapefruit, Orange

 

"On a trip to Maui in 2015, we visited Fleetwood's on Front Street, a hip restaurant located in the heart of the Lahaina tourist district. We enjoyed this delicious cocktail from the rooftop while enjoying a picturesque Hawaiian sunset. What makes this cocktail so memorable is that you sense every ingredient with every sip."

 

In August 2023, a devastating wildfire destroyed the downtown Lahaina Historic District, including Front Street. 10% of proceeds from Rose Colored Glasses will be donated to select charities supporting ongoing relief in and the rebuilding of Lahaina.

- Shaker, large enough for 3 ½ oz per cocktail, plus ice

Little Bit Country
Bulleit Bourbon - Bulleit Bourbon is a classic, whether enjoying neat or in cocktails. With its high rye content, it has a spicy character but still finishes smooth. The flavor notes of caramel, oak, and spice pair well with the maple syrup and sweetness of cherry essence.

Rose Colored Glasses
Monkey 47 Dry Gin - Nothing compares to the original: Rose Colored Glasses was served at Fleetwood's using Monkey 47. This ultra-premium gin can be sipped straight on the rocks or neat, but here, the strong floral notes pair nicely with the rose water and compliment the juices and bitters. The smoothness of the gin balances out the citrus.
Instructions

Little Bit Country
1. In large shaker, combine ¾ oz lemon juice, ½ oz maple syrup, ¼ oz cherry essence, 2 dashes orange bitters, 2 dashes Angostura Bitters, and 2 oz bourbon
2. Add large ice cubes (so as to not dilute the cocktail) and shake vigorously for at least 15 seconds
3. Strain into chilled coupe

Rose Colored Glasses
1. Pour ½ oz champagne or sparkling wine into (preferably chilled) cocktail coupe
2. In large shaker, combine ½ oz lemon juice, ½ oz grapefruit juice, ¼ oz rose water, ¼ oz simple syrup, 2 dashes orange bitters, and 1 ½ oz gin
3. Add large ice cubes (so as to not dilute the cocktail) and shake vigorously for at least 15 seconds
4. Strain into coupe over the bubbles
