Flavors: Watermelon, Rose

 

Inspired by the PDT Cocktail Book, this recipe is named after the Egyptian origin of watermelon seeds, but may just as well be named, 'Take Me To The Pool And Enjoy The Crap Out Of Me'. The fresh watermelon juice is a beautiful balance to the tequila, with a hint of floral notes from the rose water. This cocktail is definitely the envy of run of the mill watermelon seltzers!

- Fresh squeezed and fine strained Watermelon Juice
- Cortas Rose Water
- Rose's Grenadine
- Fresh squeezed and fine strained Lime Juice
- Soda Water
You Will Need

- Tequila (see below recommendations)
- Shaker, large enough for 3 ¾ oz per cocktail, plus ice

Partida Blanco - Partida Blanco is a bright and elegant tequila, whose earthy and herbal aromas blend beautifully with the sweetness of watermelon.
Instructions

1. Pour 1 oz soda water into Collins glass filled with ice
2. In large shaker, combine 1 oz watermelon juice, ¾ oz grenadine, ½ oz lime juice, 1 dash rose water, and 1 ½ oz tequila
3. Add large ice cubes (so as to not dilute the cocktail) and shake vigorously for at least 15 seconds
4. Strain into Collins glass over the soda water
