The winter syrup, infused with orange peel, star anise, cloves, cinnamon, and cardamom, together with the pear puree, makes this cocktail incredibly smooth. Who cares if you just came in from the slopes - sit by the fire, but have a Cold Hot Toddy in your mittens!

- Fresh Pear Puree with rosemary and lemon juice
- Orange Essence
- Fresh squeezed and fine strained Lemon Juice
- Winter Syrup (oranges, star anise, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom)
- Cinnamon Sticks

You Will Need

- Scotch Whiskey (see below recommendations)
- Shaker, large enough for 3 ¾ oz per cocktail, plus ice

Chivas Regal 12 Year Blended Scotch - Traditionally enjoyed neat or on the rocks, Chivas Regal 12 can also be used in fruitful, sweet cocktails. The taste offers subtle notes of ripe honeyed apples, vanilla hazelnut, and butterscotch, creating a smooth blend when combined with pear puree and winter syrup.

Instructions

1. In large shaker, combine ¾ oz pear puree, ½ oz orange essence, ¼ oz lemon juice, ¼ oz winter syrup, and 2 oz scotch
2. Add large ice cubes (so as to not dilute the cocktail) and shake vigorously for at least 15 seconds
3. Strain into chilled rocks glass
4. Garnish with cinnamon stick
